The minutes are ticking down and I still do not have Secret City outline finished. I know Predator's Reaper is ready, but I have a few worries about it and I really want to achieve winning NaNo my first time doing it. I have been procrastinating because I got stuck in the same spot, the middle. I kept thinking it from my MC character's viewpoint, so even though I knew my ending, the path to get there was blocked. Then a fellow writer's buddy suggested murder. While it is not that type of book, I had a fantastic opening for a huge event.
Secret City will be ready by the end of the day, and with 3 days, 10 hours, and now 44 minutes to go. I am so excited for NaNo and I hope I will remember to post about my progress and how my first time is going. I do have some doubts and fears. A major one is a fear of setting myself up for failure. I did finish a book with 20,000 words in a weekend, this is only 30,000 more words and I get a full month! But my fear is, I also have school. What if on top of school, I finally get a job? Will I be able to find time for school and my writing? Will I then be able to succeed?
OMG! BREATHE! Breathe in my garden rain candle lit beside me, blow out the stress and negative thoughts. Let's do it again. Yes, I am thinking you the person reading this got a bit stressed just reading. Welcome to my life ALL the time. However thanks to learning about the magical properties of a candle, I am doing so much better.
3 days, 10 hours, and now 43 minutes to go. Better get back to that outline and finish. It's not going to outline itself... well unless magical elves come to finish it for me, in which case I will have to deploy my army of squirrels and then it will be madness! And now I really must go because I just had an epic idea for a new story!
Until Next Time,
Meg
P.S. 3 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes to go!
