I know I really suck at writing a blog and some might even ask why I have one. I honestly do not know the answer, but hopefully, once everything calms down, I will add "update blog" to my calendar and at least update once a week. Here's hoping right? Maybe I can try that for the new year.
We have been super busy packing and moving from Utah to Virginia. The packing and getting it into a POD had to be the most stressful experience I have ever had moving in the 10+ times that I have moved. The drive from Utah to Virginia was great, even with 3 dogs and a kid. We even stopped in St. Louis and had an amazing afternoon with a great friend who has to be one of my biggest cheerleaders.
We have looked at a few places and have our hearts set on this one place that has tons of land and a three-bedroom doublewide. The current issue is that the company we were talking to for the VA Home Loan does not cover double wides so we have to talk to another company that does. Ryan is hoping to transfer to the clinic or something similar out here and I am hoping to get a part-time position at Krogers. If we both can secure jobs and get the papers signed, we are hoping that not only can we have a longer closing date but that the current owner of the property will let us stay in the house until closing. Fingers crossed and prayers up to the Gods & Goddesses, everything will fall into place and we will have a home before the end of the year.
As for writing, due to getting a job and finding a home, it has taken a back seat. I do write down ideas for the current book I am working on. It is called The Withering Princess and it was a D&D concept game I was going to draft up but decided that I wanted to turn it into a book instead. The best part is I should be able to make five books or so out of it if I do it right.
My crochet projects have been all over the place. I am in the middle of my friend's Christmas Mickey project, my bestie's lap blanket, and a Christmas elf for Claire since I forgot to keep ours out when I was packing. I am hoping I will finish all three before the end of the year.
